Employee engagement has become a buzz word in today’s marketplace. Up until a few years ago, this was an intuitive concept that engaged employees are good for the business. But in the past few years, a body of work has started to appear linking high employee engagement to elements such as superior earnings per share growth rate and higher customer satisfaction.

BlessingWhite, a leader in the development of organizational culture and leadership to drive performance, has been studying and consulting on employee engagement for 35 years. Its latest report on employee engagement, with input from more than 7,000 employees worldwide, was published in late May 2008.
