Topic: Applied Positive Psychology in the Workplace

This program is essentially an introduction to the fundamentals of positive
psychology, as applied in the workplace. The content addresses the recent
paradigm shift in the field of psychology from disease model of psychology
to mental well-being. This field is founded on the belief that people want
to lead meaningful and fulfilling lives, to cultivate what is best within
themselves, and to enhance their experiences in life and life's work.

Take the signature strengths assessment, copy it and bring it to the
meeting. The assessment takes 25 minutes.


This meeting will be facilitated by Lisa Jacobson - a human resources
consultant and career advisor. She has over 20 years industry experience
and is certified by the Society of Human Resources Management as a Senior
Human Resources Professional (SPHR). Lisa has a BA in Organizational
Communications from the University of South Florida and will obtain her
masters degree in Positive Psychology at the University of Pennsylvania in
2008.
