SESSION DESCRIPTION
The Aikido of Leadership is a customized program designed to give participants "hands-on" experience with practices that support leadership at all levels. These 1 to 3 day programs integrate core principles from
Aikido that amplify one's abilities to work with others, individually or collectively.
The general goal is for each person to distinguish and integrate in their body the benefit of connecting, even embracing, conflict and change.
Typically, full participation:
Develops a centered, balanced presence
Enhances one's ability to stay grounded amidst chaos
Provides ways to respond to challenges that help one be a collaborative leader
Gives one a system for integrating Aikido principles into everyday life
Workshops unfold through sequences of experiences, reflections, and sharing with a partner and the group. In addition to participants sharing their immediate experiences, there is a dialog that is an inquiry about how the principles they've experienced can contribute to being a more collaborative leader.
In this brief, one-hour introduction, participants will participate in safe, risk-free and playful movement exercises. These are designed to promote awareness and to embody core principles that support collaboration and leadership. Participants will also be briefed of the core principles and how they relate to recent data from neuroscience about energy axes in the brain.
